Open Heaven 3 April 2022 MEMORIZE: Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Job 8:7

BIBLE READING MICAH 7:7-10 Open Heaven 3 April 2022

7. Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

8. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

9. I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10. Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

MESSAGE: – Open Heaven 3 April 2022 Sunday Daily Devotional

In Genesis 16:4, after Sarah’s maid had become pregnant for Abraham, she began to mock Sarah. She mocked Sarah because she left God out of the calculation. Though Sarah’s case looked impossible at the time, before long, she was carrying her own baby too. No matter how desperate your situation may be, nobody has the right to write you off yet.

Just as they may be thinking of writing you off, the Almighty God will arise and change your situation for the better. Someone once preached a message about the power of yet. He encouraged his congregation that whenever they want to answer a question that seems embarrassing, they should remember to add the word yet.

For example, if you are marriageable but not yet married, whenever you are asked, Are you married? your answer should be, I am not married YET. If you are asked, Do you have a car? when you don’t have one, simply respond I don’t have a car YET.

This preacher went on to say that when you add the word yet to your answer, you are asserting that the way things are now is not the same way they would be in the future. You are saying, in essence, Don’t write me off; you just wait and see, my miracle will soon arrive.

Beyond adding the word yet when answering seemingly embarrassing questions, you must believe it yourself. You must ensure that you are not writing yourself off. You must ensure that you are seeing yourself going higher and not remaining in that situation.

Ecclesiastes 9:4 tells us that as long as you are alive, there is hope. If God has kept you alive up to this moment, then He must have a great plan for you. Revelation 3:7 says that He has the key of David, so whatever He opens is opened and whatever He shuts is shut. He has not written you off, so no matter what anybody thinks, you will be great.

I remember when things were very tough for my family. My wife and I used to share just one small piece of ponmo (cow hide) to go with our meals, as it was the cheapest kind of meat. I would tell her back then, Darling, things will not always be like this, you know? Our tomorrow will be alright.

Today, by the special grace of God, if we want to eat one cow per day, my God will provide it. Say to yourself, Things will get better. My tomorrow will be alright, in the mighty name of Jesus.

OPEN HEAVEN 3 APRIL 2022 HYMN

NEARER MY GOD TO THEE

1. Nearer, my God, to Thee,

Nearer to Thee;

E’ en though it be a cross

That raiseth me,

Still all my song shall be

Nearer, my God, to Thee,

Nearer, my God, to Thee,

Nearer to Thee.

2. Though, like a wanderer

The sun gone down,

Darkness comes over me,

My rest a stone;

Yet in my dreams I’d be

Nearer, my God, to Thee

Nearer, my God, to Thee

Nearer to Thee.

3. There let me see the sight,

An open heaven;

All that thou sendest me,

In mercy given;

Angles to beckon me

Nearer, my God, to Thee

Nearer, my God, to Thee

Nearer to Thee

4. Then, with my walking thoughts

Bright with Thy praise,

Out of my stony griefs

Bethel I’ll raise,

So by my woes to be

Nearer, my God, to Thee,

Nearer, my God, to Thee,

Nearer to Thee

5. Or if on joyful wing

Cleaving the sky

Sun, moon, and stars forgot,

Upwards I fly,

Still all my song shall be,

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer my God to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!
