Open Heavens 18 August 2025 Monday – You Can Be Filled with More I
MEMORISE: He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. Luke 1:53
READ: Ezekiel 47:1-5 Open Heavens 18 August 2025
1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 18 August 2025 Monday Daily Devotional
For a few days now, I have been discussing being filled with the anointing. Today, I will discuss the degrees to which you can be filled with the anointing and how charged your spiritual battery can be. As Christians, we all have the Holy Spirit, but one fellow can be filled with the anointing to a higher degree than another. This is why different Christians have different levels of authority in the Spirit. To fully understand how a Christian can be filled with more of the anointing than others, I’ll discuss demonic possession first because demons are spirits.
In Mark 1:23- 24, the man Jesus found in the synagogue had only one unclean spirit – one demon is enough to cause so much havoc. In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene was said to have been delivered from seven demons; therefore, a man with one demon is possessed, and a fellow with seven is more possessed. When you read Matthew 12:43-45, you will see that if someone has one demon to start with, he or she could end up with eight because Jesus said that if an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it goes about looking for where to rest. If it can’t find any, it will return to its former house; if it finds the place empty, it will invite seven other demons inside to live with it such that the state of the possessed person will become worse. Also, when you read Mark 5:1-15, you will see the enormous capacity of the human soul to absorb spirits. The madman of Gadara had a legion of demons, which Bible scholars say is equivalent to as many as 6,000 demons. If a man can have 6,000 demons, then there is enough space in you to also absorb quite a lot of the anointing.
Today’s Bible reading shows us that it is possible for a Christian to go deeper and deeper in God. There is always more in God for those who remain spiritually hungry. For every thousand cubits travelled in the spirit, there is still a lot more distance that can be covered. For every spiritual height attained, there is still much more that can be attained.
This is why you must remain hungry because God only fills and satisfies hungry people (Matthew 5:6, Isaiah 44:3). I pray that God will fill you with more and more of His anointing every day, in Jesus’ name.
Key Point – Open Heavens 18 August 2025
No matter how much of the anointing you carry, you will always have room for more.
Open Heavens 18 August 2025 Monday Commentary
Hallelujah.
Our topic for today once more says you can be filled with more part one. You would agree with me that recently we just concluded a very powerful series which tells us to always refill. In that series we saw the importance of ensuring that our spiritual batteries are always charged. We also saw ways through which we can charge our spiritual batteries.
Today’s study and this new series however takes us further showing us that there are degrees to which a believer can be filled with the anointing. Many of us have phones, tablets and various devices which we charge. Just as those batteries can be charged to different levels, so also our spiritual lives can burn at different intensities. Some believers only manage to glow faintly, while others radiate the fire of God like a blazing touch. We learn from today’s study that while every Christian has the Holy Spirit dwelling within them, not all carry the same degree of his power and authority, some walk in shallow measures while others overflow in an uncommon dimension of God’s grace. In order for us to understand the capacity of the human soul, our father and the Lord explains to us that if a man can carry over 6,000 demons, when we all agree that just one demon is enough to cause havoc and one man has the capacity to carry over 6,000, then it tells us how much the human soul can be filled. This time around, not with demon spirits, but by the spirit of God. If one man can contain thousands of evil spirits, how much more can the human spirit be filled with the immeasurable presence of the Holy Spirit?
This shows us that there are degrees in the spirit realm. Some carry little, some carry much, and some are even overflowing. The capacity of your soul is vast. And we learn very importantly from today’s study that our hunger can be the determinant to how much of this his spirit that we can hold. He is that river that never runs dry. If you come to him with a cup, you would get filled. If you come with a pot, you’d be filled. If you come with a drum, you’d be filled. If you come with vessels able to carry thousands of liters, you’d be filled. He’s able to fill the capacity of whatever vessel you present to him.
So, we learned from today’s study that there’s no limit in God. The limit is in our hunger. Ezekiel chapter 47 paints the picture of a river flowing from the temple. At 1,000 cubits, the water was ankle deep. Another thousand cubits it reached the knees. Still further it rose to the loins and finally it became a river too deep to walk across. This river represents the Holy Spirit showing us that there are depths and realms to enter. Do not be that Christian that is content with ankle deep experiences in God. Do not be the one who is okay with occasional prayer, light devotion and surface knowledge of the scriptures. Go deeper. Be that believer who wants more than a knee-deep experience of the Holy Spirit. Be that believer who wants something more, more than a little prayer here and there. More than just a little manifestation of the spiritual gifts. Advance. Be a believer who wants even more than a waste level deep experience with the Holy Spirit. Hunger and thirst for more. Become a believer who is absolutely drowned in God. Who wants more, a believer who is swimming in the overflowing river of the Holy Spirit.
Interestingly, scripture tells us in Matthew 5:6 that blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. It says, “For they shall be filled.” Our memory verse for today also from the book of Luke 1:53 tells us, “He had filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he had sent away empty.” So, are you rich in your own eyes? Are you comfortable with where you are in the spirit? Are you satisfied and content with that level where you are? To be filled, you need to be hungry for more. Contentment is an enemy for progress in the spirit. Moses had an encounter with God at the burning bush. But that was not enough for him. He cried in Exodus 33:18. He said, “Lord, show me your glory.” How about Elisha? He had seen what God did through Elijah. Yet when it was time, he said, “I want a double portion of your spirit.”
Beloved, God wants us to always seek new levels of the anointing. Because he has more than enough to fill us with. It is there already. He just needs us to be hungry. He wants us to present our vessels. Stop depending on yesterday’s anointing for tomorrow’s battles. Seek God afresh daily. Seek for a deeper walk with God, seek for consistent progress in your walk with him. Different levels of anointing also determine different levels of authority in the spirit. That is why while some Christians carry enough fire to ward off small attacks, others carry such overwhelming glory that entire territories are influenced. It is possible that while some believers are content not being able to even heal headaches, some are territorial commanders, yet they are still hungry for more. It is the same Holy Spirit that is in them all. But the levels of their hunger and yieldedness determines the measure that they carry.
So, how can you today be filled with more of the anointing? You must remain hungry. Never settle for past encounters. Thank God for what he has done before but seek new depths in him today. Push in the place of prayer, in the study of the word, and in the place of worship and intimacy with him. Also remember to guard your vessels. Sin and compromise can puncture your vessel. So, keep your vessel, keep your life pure so that the oil will keep flowing. Also, intentionally and deliberately wait on God. Seek his face. Pray. Fast. Linger in his presence. Do not be quick to want to go in and come out. Remember also to make use of the deposit he has placed upon you. Do not be a stagnant river. Keep it flowing. The more you use the anointing in service, the more he pours back into you. Hallelujah.
Dear brothers and sisters, I want this to be our prayer every day. Lord, enlarge my capacity for more of you. That is why we’ll be bowing our heads now. I’ll be asking the Lord today from the depths of our hearts, ask the Lord today, say, “Father, in the name of Jesus, help me enlarge my capacity for more of you in the name of Jesus.” Ask the Lord to take away today every form of contentment in our hearts for the current level where we are. Ask the Lord today that he would put in us a hunger that is insatiable. A hunger that always wants more of him. A hunger that would always have us coming back and seeking him like we have never done before. Why not also ask the Lord today?
Say, “Father, as you fill us to overflow, let our lives manifest your power and your glory in the name of Jesus. Let it be obvious without any element of doubt. Let it be seen that of a truth. You have filled us and we are overflowing. Let it flow from our lives to everyone around us to the nations and the ends of the earth in the name of Jesus. Begin to bless the name of the Lord and thank him for answers to prayers. Just worship him. Give him thanks, adore his holy name. Father, we bless you. Glory, honor, and adoration be unto your name. In Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen.
