MESSAGE: – Open Heavens 23 September 2025 Tuesday Daily Devotional

Today’s memory verse says that Jesus is standing at the door of your heart right now, knocking and waiting for you to let Him in. Every time you hear a word from God that convicts you of sin, that is Jesus saying, “Let me into your heart so I can cleanse your heart of sin.” You have no idea what Jesus Christ can do for you when you let Him into your heart. The moment you let Jesus in, your past will no longer determine your future – only Jesus will. With Jesus living in you, your future will only get brighter and brighter (Proverbs 4:18).

You may say, “I already let Jesus into my heart some time ago.” That is good, but do you still get convicted of certain sins when you listen to a sermon or read your Bible? If yes, that means there are some parts of your life that Jesus hasn’t taken over yet, and He is knocking on the door of your heart so you can let Him in.

There is no partial salvation; Ephesians 5:27 says that Jesus is coming for a bride without blemish or wrinkle. If there’s still a blemish in your life, surrender it completely to Jesus Christ today. You may also say, “I have a good relationship with Jesus.” However, there is more. David described a relationship with God as a journey into the deep. He said, “Deep calleth unto deep.” (Psalm 42:7). After walking, eating, and talking with Jesus during His earthly ministry for three and a half years, John saw Him in a vision in Revelation 4:1, and Jesus told him, ” Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”

There are always higher realms in God, and Jesus is standing at the door of your heart, knocking and calling you to come up higher. It is not enough to just confess Jesus as your Lord and Saviour; there is more. God wants you to operate in His miraculous power (Mark 16:17-18). He wants you to be an agent of change, but you need the power of the Holy Spirit to do that. There will always be higher doors to enter and deeper realms to access in God.

Beloved, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart today. He is calling you to higher and deeper levels in your relationship with Him. Open your heart to Him; He will beautify your life with His glory and make you an agent of change for His kingdom.

Prayer Point – Open Heavens 23 September 2025

Lord Jesus, I open my heart to You. Please lead me into more glorious levels in You, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heavens 23 September 2025 Tuesday Commentary

Praise the Lord.

Our topic for today once more says answer the door. Yesterday we saw the topic which asked us have you encountered Jesus? And in that study, our father and the Lord made us understand the importance of an encounter with Jesus. We saw how that no man ever remains the same after an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ. Saul became Paul and his life was transformed and changed forever after he encountered our Lord Jesus Christ. The same man who was a persecutor became a great preacher of the same gospel. And today as we study the topic which tells us to answer the door, our memory verse from the book of Revelation 3:20 reads, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him and will s with him and he with me.” This is our Lord Jesus Christ speaking to us today. The beauty of this is that he never forces himself into any man’s life. He patiently waits for us to open the door. He wants you to invite him in.

Our memory verse says, “Behold, I stand at the door.” So, as we speak right now, he’s standing at the door of your heart. And what is he doing? He says he’s knocking. He’s making an appeal to you. He says, “Open the door that I may come in.” That scripture tells us if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him. This reveals to us that although he wants to come into our hearts, he wants to come into our lives, he’s not forcing himself. He leaves us with a choice. However, anyone who opens the door will have him enter in. Interestingly, that scripture does not end there. It goes on to tell us what happens when he comes in. He says, “I will come into him and will s with him and he with me.” This talks about fellowship. So God is looking for that man who would open the gates of his heart to him today. That man who would say, “Lord, here I am. Come into my life.”

God wants to relate with you. He wants to commune with you. He wants to be your friend. It is quite sad that so many people today, especially those who still feel that they are young and they still have much time. I can’t just open the door to Jesus now. I will do that later in the future. Let me enjoy my life first. Well, let me begin by reminding you that you don’t have the assurance of tomorrow. You don’t even have the full assurance of today. What you have is this very moment. And that is why it is very important that as our Lord Jesus Christ is knocking on the gates of our heart today, we pay prompt attention to let him in.

Scripture tells us in Hebrews 3:15, “Today, if ye will hear his voice,” it says, “Harden not your heart.” When you hear his voice today, refuse to be stubborn. Refuse to be rebellious. Submit to him. We’re also made to understand from today’s study that there is no partial salvation. There’s nothing like I surrendered my life to Christ but I still do one or two things behind. Sometimes you hear conversations starting with you know no one is perfect. Sometimes I do this sometimes I do that. God wants to take total control of our lives. And he wants us to submit every area of our lives to him, granting access to every area of our lives to him without withholding anything back. So there should be nothing like, “Oh, I have surrendered every other thing to God.” But you see this one, Mm- I’m holding it back. That situation you are struggling with, do you know that you can overcome it if you surrender to him? You can overcome it if you stop trying to do it by yourself. If you grant him access to that part of your life today, he can grant you victory there.

Today’s study makes us understand that God is calling us to deeper realms. This means that for every level that we have walked with him, there are greater and even deeper levels of walk with him. If you have walked with him to the point where you have healed headaches before, he’s calling you to come up higher. He’s saying you can open blind eyes, you can open deaf ears, you can even raise the dead. If you used to hear him speak to you before, you can still have a deeper experience with him. You have not arrived. There is still so much more that is possible in him. Maybe you have been satisfied with simply being saved or you have been satisfied with simple church attendance or serving in a department. As much as that may sound humble and good, do you know that God can still do great things in you and through you? Stop being too comfortable with where you are right now. Open the door to him to take you to the next level.

We also learned from today’s study about how Jesus transforms the lives of people. We learned that when he enters into a man’s life, that man’s past no longer dictates his future. It becomes our Lord Jesus who determines how that man’s future would be. Old things pass away and the future becomes glorious. Maybe you are here today and you know that you are in need of the Lord Jesus Christ coming into your life. Please say this prayer intentionally after me. Say, “Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I acknowledge my sins. I ask that you would please forgive me. Have mercy upon me.” Thank you for our Lord Jesus and for his sacrifice on the cross. I receive him as my savior today and I declare that according to scripture old things are passed away and all things are made new. Thank you Lord Jesus. In Jesus name I have prayed. Amen.

Congratulations if you have made that prayer. Welcome to the family of God. Please do well to plant yourself in a bible believing church so that you can grow. The remaining of us who desire a greater walk and intimacy with God, I would like us at this point to also bow our heads and ask the Lord today, Lord Jesus, if there is any area of my life not yet surrendered to you, I release it to you now in the name of Jesus. Tell the Lord today say, “Father, take control of my life. Take charge of every area of my life. Let me give all to you withholding nothing in the name of Jesus.” Ask the spirit of God today. Say, “Holy Spirit, lead me into deeper realms of walk with you in the name of Jesus.” Open your mouth and ask the Lord today. You know how far you have walked with him. Ask for deeper levels of walk with him today. Whatever level of intimacy you have had with him before, whatever results you have seen in your life and through your life before, ask the Lord today. Say, “Father, I want more. I want a deeper level of fellowship with you. I want better results in my life. I want more manifestation of your power in my life in the name of Jesus.

Also ask the Lord today. Say, “Father, use me as an agent of transformation in my generation in Jesus’ name.” Say, “Lord, let me be a shining light, a shining example. Let me be a hope for the hopeless. Let me be a conduit through which your power and your love will reach many in the name of Jesus. On my account, let many be changed. Let many encounter you. Let their lives be transformed permanently to your glory in the name of Jesus. And let also go on to be agents of change to as many as encounter them in the name of Jesus. Begin to bless the name of the Lord and thank him for answers to prayers. Just worship him. Give him thanks. Father, we adore you. Hallowed, hallowed be thy name. In Jesus’ name we have prayed. Amen.

Open Heavens 23 September 2025 Tuesday Hymn

HYMN 23: Take My Life And Let It Be

1 Take my life and let it be

consecrated, Lord, to thee.

Take my moments and my days;

let them flow in endless praise,

let them flow in endless praise.

2 Take my hands and let them move

the impulse of thy love.

Take my feet and let them be

swift and beautiful for thee,

swift and beautiful for thee.

3 Take my voice and let me sing

always, only, for my King.

Take my lips and let them be

filled with messages from thee,

filled with messages from thee.

4 Take my silver and my gold;

not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect and use

every power as thou shalt choose,

every power as thou shalt choose.

5 Take my will and make it thine;

it shall be no longer mine.

Take my heart it is thine own;

it shall be thy royal throne,

it shall be thy royal throne.

6 Take my love; my Lord, I pour

at thy feet its treasure store.

Take myself, and I will be

ever, only, all for thee,

ever, only, all for thee.
